Employee Spotlight: Joe Erario, Champion of Product Excellence and AI Innovation

This month, we’re thrilled to spotlight Joe Erario, Group Product Manager, whose expertise in product management and passion for exploring AI-driven solutions are helping to deliver the innovative, seamless solutions our customers rely on. 

From Startups to Product Leadership 

Joe’s career has been defined by innovation and a customer-first approach. After earning degrees in business administration and environmental studies, Joe began his career in IT and web design before transitioning to Boulder’s thriving startup scene. There, he honed his skills in customer success and product development, learning firsthand how to connect customer needs with strategic solutions. 

This experience sparked his passion for product management, leading him to roles at other startups and eventually ISONAS, where he helped implement agile processes and strategic roadmaps following Allegion’s acquisition. Joe’s ability to combine technical expertise with strategic vision has been key to his success. 

Leveraging AI to Enhance Solutions 

Joe is also a key driver of Zentra’s AI initiatives, working with Allegion’s data science and AI teams to explore how emerging technologies can enhance both internal operations and customer experiences. 

By piloting AI tools such as coding assistants, Joe has helped streamline documentation, onboard new engineers, and improve workflows across the organization. Looking ahead, Joe sees AI playing an even greater role in customer-facing solutions, from predictive forms and smart features to AI-powered chatbots for instant support. 

“AI offers incredible potential to simplify processes and make systems smarter,” Joe shared. “We’re committed to leveraging this technology to enhance the user experience while driving efficiency for our teams.” 

Delivering Real Solutions: Vendor Management System 

One of Joe’s proudest achievements at Zentra is the development of the Vendor Management System, also known as Day Pass. This feature has been widely praised by property managers for its ability to streamline vendor access and improve operational efficiency. Joe’s collaborative work with the design team ensured the system met the real needs of customers, reinforcing Zentra’s commitment to delivering impactful solutions. 

Beyond Work: Exploring the Outdoors 

When he’s not driving innovation at Zentra, Joe enjoys the great outdoors in Colorado with his three-year-old golden retriever. Whether hiking, biking, and rafting in the summer or skiing in the winter, Joe thrives on staying active and exploring nature.
