Employee Spotlight: Susie Osowski, Champion of Product Innovation and Collaboration

At Zentra, our team’s passion and talent drive our innovation. This month, we’re proud to spotlight Susie Osowski, Product Manager, whose unique expertise in both hardware and software, along with her collaborative spirit, is helping to shape Zentra’s future.

A Career Rooted in Growth and Adaptability

Susie’s career journey highlights her adaptability and commitment to learning. She started as an intern at Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies and was accepted into their Accelerated Development Program. This opportunity allowed her to gain experience in marketing and product management experience in different industries, providing a well-rounded foundation for her career.

Over the years, Susie worked in both B2B and B2C spaces, tackling innovative hardware and software solutions across various industries, from biometrics systems to smart locks and consumer-facing mobile apps. Her return to Allegion and subsequent move to Zentra marked a pivotal moment in her career. Joining Zentra’s software team in the spring of 2023, Susie leveraged her hardware expertise and software experience to make an immediate impact.

Joining Zentra: A New Chapter

Susie joined Zentra during the early stages of its rollout as the team was launching beta customers. Her contributions have been key in refining and stabilizing the software while setting the stage for new feature development.

“Zentra operates differently compared to the rest of Allegion,” Susie shared. “Software moves at a different pace, and being part of a team so critical to the company’s long-term success is incredibly exciting.”

Collaborating to Drive Impact

As a product manager, Susie’s role focuses on collaboration. She works closely with engineering teams, sales, and customer support to ensure everyone has the tools and information they need to succeed. One of Susie’s proudest achievements at Zentra has been leading device integration projects, which have expanded Zentra’s capabilities and made the software more versatile for customers. Susie is also developing an Allegion Academy course, “Zentra 101,” to provide new hires and team members with a foundational understanding of Zentra.

“It’s not as flashy as some deliverables, but it’s critical to helping our teammates start off strong,” Susie noted.

Life Beyond Work

Outside of work, Susie enjoys staying active and connecting with others. She co-runs a euchre meetup group in San Francisco, loves riding her Vespa around the city, and has a passion for sending personalized greeting cards. Travel is another big part of Susie’s life. Whether it’s relaxing at a lake house or enjoying a beach vacation, she thrives on exploring new places and embracing spontaneous adventures.
